How to get to the
SIX Convention Point
From Zurich main station (Zürich HB) take tram line 4, direction Altstetten. Coming from the station in Altstetten, take tram line 4, direction Tiefenbrunnen. From either direction get off at Sportweg. The SIX ConventionPoint is situated within the SIX building next to the tram stop.
The highway connections are a few minutes drive from the SIX ConventionPoint. There is a public pay parking at the Hard Turm Park garage, to be entered via Pfingstweidstrasse. In the garage follow the signs to building 110/SIX.
From Zurich airport to the SIX ConventionPoint it is approximately 20 minutes by Taxi. If you prefer public transport, take one of the trains to Zurich Hardbrücke. From there tram line 4 direction Altstetten takes you directly to the SIX ConventionPoint. Get off at Sportweg.
You can find 3-4 hotel next to the venue that we can recommend, i.e., Sheraton Zurich, 25hours Hotel, Novotel, and Ibis Zurich West.

During his career at Rohde & Schwarz, Christian Müller has had different leadership roles on both national and international level. Alan Rae is a forward-thinking IoT advocate and the Head of Sales at LORIOT with over 6 years of experience in the LoRaWAN sector, supporting global companies deploying some of the largest LoRaWAN projects worldwide.
Specializing in the advancement of network connectivity and management technology, his ambition is focused on facilitating global IoT adoption and scalability. Alan‘s role has been crucial in supporting companies across diverse industries, emphasizing the transformative power of connected technologies to boost efficiency and sustainability worldwide.
Victor Kartsch received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Bologna (2020) under the mentorship of Prof. Luca Benini. His doctoral work centered on developing integrated hardware and software for Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) systems, focusing on EMG and EEG signal processing. Several international journals and conferences document his contributions to this field. Now a research fellow at ETH Zurich’s Integrated System Laboratory, Victor leads projects on designing nano autonomous aerial vehicles. His current research aims to integrate innovative sensor and microcontroller technologies with tiny AI algorithms running on the edge to enhance UAV’s performance and capabilities for complex autonomous tasks.
Oscar Rechou holds an MSc in Electronics from the Technical University of Winterthur (1998) and a MBA from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (2003). Since 2019, Oscar has been working as Senior Business Development Manager and IoT Lead at Sunrise Business. In this role he is responsible for various market segments such as Smart Energy, Smart City and Smart Building. With more than two decades of international IoT experience, his understanding of both the needs of business customers and the evolving IoT ecosystem, Oscar realizes pilot projects that advance Sunrise in its journey from a TelCo to a TechCo.
Daniel Bärtschi holds a BSc in Physics from the FHNW (1988) and a postgraduate degree in Business Management from the Kaderschule St.Gallen (1995). Daniel founded Avisec in 2009 with a strong focus on construction site monitoring. Avisec has become a leader in the construction site monitoring industry in the DACH region. The CEO is enthusiastic about developing the company to further scale avisec in terms of global coverage and enhancing the solution with more AI.
Ernst Schranz obtained a BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Industrial Technologies in 2014 from the FH NTB in Buchs SG, Switzerland.
During his master studies he was working as a scientific employee at the FH NTB in Buchs SG.
After his studies he started as a Development Engineer at TRUMPF Switzerland AG in 2014.
In 2017 he moved to GRITEC AG as a Development Engineer and in 2020 he was promoted to the Head of Business Unit “System Innovation. In 2022, Ernst Schranz was appointed as the new CEO of GRITEC AG.

Liliane Paradise is the Head of Hardware at Miromico, a renowned Swiss IoT company specializing in embedded electronics for IoT applications. With a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, Liliane brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Having dedicated her career to the field of Embedded Hardware and Software, Liliane plays a crucial role in driving the development of innovative IoT solutions at Miromico. Her profound industry knowledge and leadership contribute to Miromico’s success as a leading provider of cutting-edge IoT solutions.
Markus completed his doctoral studies in materials science at ETH Zurich and proceeded to build a distinguished career in process and product development. He served as the Manager of Production Engineering at Sensirion AG, followed by a tenure as Manager of Advanced Materials and Technologies at Sonova AG. To enhance his engineering expertise, he attained a Master’s in Advanced Studies in Management, Technology, and Economics (MAS ETH MTEC) from ETH Zurich. In 2021, Markus embarked on a role with the Canton Zurich’s Division of Business and Economic Development, initially as a Project Manager overseeing the high-tech sector. This year, he advanced to Co-Lead the Division. Alongside his commitments to the Canton, Markus also imparts knowledge as a lecturer in Innovation and Technology Management at the OST University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil.
Annalena Zottmann is a driving force behind innovative smart metering and city solutions and services at Diehl Metering. She has several years’ experience in ideation, exploration and realization of new solutions across various markets. Annalena’s focus is on designing future-proof und user-centric IoT solutions based on the needs of smart utilities and cities.
Adrian Staudenmaier holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Winterthur, Switzerland from 2003. Starting 2003 he worked at Alstom as a service engineer in the field of gas and steam turbine control systems. In 2015, Adrian joined EKZ (Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich) Energy Contracting as head of the control technology department. In 2019, he moved to Jobst Willers Engineering AG, where he successfully built up the Digital Building division. In addition, Adrian is currently completing the MAS program in Digital Transformation at the ZHAW.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Wildfeuer obtained his doctorate in quantum technologies from the University of Siegen in 2003, after studying physics in Bonn and Siegen. His postdoctoral work in the USA involved research at esteemed institutes, focusing on quantum sensors and cryptography. Joining the FHNW School of Engineering in Brugg-Windisch in 2015, he has since been dedicated to educating future engineers and was appointed Professor for Sensor Technology in 2019. Currently, Prof. Wildfeuer leads innovative R&D projects in quantum information and post-quantum cryptography, which include the application of the Kyber post-quantum algorithm on embedded systems, the enhancement of wireless technology security, and the development of secure satellite communications protocols. His scholarly work, as both an author and co-author, has contributed to the academic discourse in the field.
Chiara Koopmans is the Managing Director of truvami, an IoT startup dedicated to advancing the field of geo-localization solutions. Truvami stands out for its development of innovative, compact tracking devices that work both indoors and outdoors. Truvami’s mission is empower businesses with insights about their assets to simplify business decisions and improve their operational efficiency.
She has a strong academic background in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, one of the world’s leading universities in the field. Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey, she acquired experience in the consulting sector, leading both strategic and IT projects. This experience provided her with invaluable insights into the intersection of technology and business.

Marcel Mutschler is Digital Innovation Manager at F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG and responsible for the development & implementation of the Smart Building Vision at the Basel / Kaiseraugst site.
Steffen Ochsenreither began his career at the Endress+Hauser Group in Switzerland. There he worked worldwide in the field of digitalization in process automation. On this basis, he expanded his expertise in Industry 4.0 and IIoT at various global locations and was responsible, among other things, for the introduction of Endress+Hauser’s IoT ecosystem ‘Netilion’. In December 2022, he took up his position as IoT Strategist and Senior Expert IoT at Swiss Post. Since November 2023, Steffen has been working as IoT Lead and identifies and implements use cases that advance Swiss Post on its way to becoming a data-driven organization.
